Rajkot-based Vilfly Travel Technologies is positioning itself as more than another flight booking site-the company is building toward AI-driven travel search for India’s price-conscious, choice-heavy travel market

India’s online travel space is getting more crowded, and paradoxically, harder to navigate. More airlines, more fare types, and more booking platforms have given travellers plenty of choice — but comparing baggage rules, cancellation terms, and final payable amounts across a dozen tabs has become a task of its own.

Vilfly Travel Technologies Private Limited, operating through Vilfly.com and Vilfly.in, is betting that the fix isn’t more search results — it’s better ones.

Not Just Another Booking Engine

The Rajkot-headquartered company, an India-focused travel technology firm and online travel agency (OTA), says its core focus is flight search, comparison, and booking — with an emphasis on helping travellers weigh the full cost of a ticket, not just the number that shows up first.

A cheap headline fare can look very different once baggage charges, date-change fees, and cancellation conditions are factored in. Vilfly’s stated approach is to surface that information upfront rather than leaving travellers to discover it at checkout.

Where AI Fits In

Vilfly’s next phase of development centres on artificial intelligence — not as a customer-service chatbot bolted onto an existing site, but as a way to cut through information overload.

The company’s thinking: most travellers don’t want the cheapest flight, they want the right flight — one that matches their priorities on timing, stops, baggage, or flexibility. An AI-enabled system, the company says, can organise search results around what a traveller actually needs, rather than requiring them to manually filter every option themselves.

Importantly, Vilfly frames AI as an assistant, not a decision-maker. The final booking choice stays with the traveller — AI’s role is to make trade-offs easier to see.

Built for Tier 2 and Tier 3 India

Vilfly’s target market extends deliberately beyond metro-city flyers. With digital travel adoption rising sharply in smaller Indian cities, the company is building its platform for travellers who may not want to spend time cross-referencing multiple booking sites before making a decision.

A Gradual Build, Not a Pivot

Vilfly describes its roadmap as incremental: basic flight search and booking first, stronger comparison tools next, and AI-driven personalisation as the platform matures. The company positions this as evolution rather than reinvention — a travel-tech company growing into its stated long-term vision rather than rebranding overnight.

Vilfly is also a registered member of the Rajkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI), grounding its digital ambitions in a formal regional business presence.

The Bigger Picture

As India’s OTA market matures, the companies that stand out may not be the ones with the largest inventory, but the ones that make sense of it. Vilfly’s bet is that AI-assisted clarity — not just lower fares — will be what travellers increasingly choose to book with.
