The paths taken by co-founders Sanskar Saxena and Vishant Jain to start Smashed Agency are equally interesting and motivational, as each brings a distinct set of experiences to the table.

Co-founder Sanskar Saxena’s story begins in the COVID-19 lockdown of 2020. “I’m an engineer by degree but a marketer by profession,” Sanskar shares. “It all began in the covid lockdown of 2020. After two years of studying engineering, I realised this was not for me. I had to do something else.”

Sanskar’s entrepreneurial spirit was brought to life by a simple desire to purchase a protein shake without relying on his father’s financial support. This led him to explore the world of content creation, freelancing, and digital marketing. “I started learning skills like video editing, worked for agencies as a freelancer, and then began stacking up skills, going deep into this domain,” he explains.

Vishant’s path, on the other hand, started earlier in 2019 during his sixth semester in college. Feeling disillusioned with his chosen career path in coding, he stumbled upon the world of digital marketing through online videos. Despite initial scepticism from his parents, Vishant took a leap of faith and enrolled in a digital marketing course.

Both co-founders faced their share of challenges. Sanskar had already tasted success with Revvcontent, an organic Instagram marketing agency he single-handedly scaled to Rs 4,00,000 in revenue. However, the demands of freelancing eventually led to burnout. “I had to close it,” Sanskar admits. “Then, after some break and scaling down, I started Smashed with my partner Vishant, whom I met via a mutual friend.”

Vishant’s journey was equally rocky. From landing his first client at a networking event to growing a YouTube channel to 100k subscribers during the pandemic, his path was marked by both triumphs and setbacks. He navigated job losses, family health crises, and fluctuating income before finally tripling his earnings by the end of 2023.

Their paths converged when Sanskar met Vishant through a mutual friend. Recognising their complementary skills and shared vision, they decided to join forces and launch Smashed Agency.

Smashed Agency’s core focus is on creating high-performing ad creatives that help e-commerce and DTC brands scale past six to seven figures in revenue. “We’re not an average media buying agency just running ads for clients,” Sanskar clarifies. “We create the ad creatives for them and run them as well, ensuring we help them scale their Meta ads properly.”
