It is indeed very true that talent comes in all shapes and sizes, in all forms and in all ages. In this article, we follow the extraordinary talent of Abhisek Saha from Malda, West Bengal, an exceptional mimic who can accurately imitate the voices of over 96 professional singers.

A BSc in biotechnology from Bangalore University and having done MBA from EIILM, 36 year old Abhisek is a son to Mister Prodip Kumar Saha and Misses Kalyani Saha, who are both retired persons from agricultural and health departments respectively. Along with being a brother to a business woman, he is also a husband to a banker and a father to 3 year old kindergartener Raya, who has been credited to being the greatest form of inspiration in her father’s talent.

Tracing his footsteps, Raya has been doing mimicry since two years of age, an act which has deeply influenced her father. A part of Abhisek’s mimicry goes into motivating his daughter and boosting her confidence in doing what she loves.

Abhisek has been doing mimicry since the past year, and has been the recipient to BANGLAR GORBO AWARD in 2023 along with numerous other Tollywood celebrities. After being interviewed several times, Abhisek has finally got his name into INDIA’S WORLD RECORDS, for mimicking the voice of 92 distinguished singers. He is an active member of PITI, and has been interviewed by INDIAN EXPRESS BANGLA and various other local news channels. As per latest stats, he can mimic the voice of over 96 professional singers.

He has been a recipient to the WEB WORLD RECORD IN THE EXTRAORDINARY TALENT IN MIMICRY ARTIST : A SYMPHONY OF VOICES AND SOUNDS.

Further, he has also received the BANGLA GAURAV SAMMAN (MULTITALENT CATEGORY) in 2024. At last (but certainly not least), he has been awarded the WORLD TALENT AWARD in 2024.

His talent of mimicry is not just limited to imitating the voices of professional singers, but is much more widespread. His mimicry ranges from imitating actors, singers, animals, musical instruments and even politicians.

He has received the EXCELLENCE ICON AWARDS in BEST VOCAL  CLONING SINGING CATEGORY.

His hobbies are, undoubtedly, singing and mimicry. He is also an efficient orator, taking pleasure in training people on corporate skills and providing motivation about having an optimistic approach to life.

He says that he can portray the entire act that has been performed on independence day in The India Gate, starting from Lata Di’s song, the parade instruction, various other sounds like that of the helicopter, and even the air jet sound in one single go.

He has also been the inventor of a brand new technique called MIXING VOCAL PERCENTAGE, something which has been introduced for the first time in India. This technique works on a simple concept, in which Abhisek sings two songs with two voices keeping the ratio between them 50-50, or 25-75 or directly 100%.

This technique has been beautifully presented in Abhisek’s performance of the song KUCH NA KAHO, in which 25% of the song is sung in his own style, and the rest 75% is an imitation of Kumar Sanu. The numbers can go from a 25-75 to a solid case of 50% each, or even more.

He also imitates the background sound of that of a Hollywood film, complete with sounds of musical instruments and other effects.

He is an aspiring stage performer, and wishes to expand his career in this field. He wishes to represent his country worldwide in mimicry and sees a vision of being a global symbol of vocal cloning, a path yet to be explored by many.
