Akash Kumar has experienced basketball both as a competitive player and as a coach. His journey in 3×3 basketball, including international-level competition, helped him develop valuable experience that he now shares with young athletes.
As an NIS-certified basketball coach and the driving force behind Skyblaze Academy, Akash Kumar focuses on creating opportunities for aspiring players. His coaching philosophy emphasizes strong fundamentals, discipline, fitness, teamwork and game intelligence.
One of the athletes connected with this environment is Rohit Sehwag, whose basketball journey began more than a decade ago.
Born in Haryana, Rohit grew up in an armed-forces family. His father served in the Indian Navy and was also a professional wrestler, while his younger brother is a national-level swimmer. Sport and discipline were therefore always a significant part of his environment.
Rohit started playing basketball in Visakhapatnam in 2013 and went on to represent his school at the national level. During his graduation in Goa, he continued playing for his college and Varunapuri Ballers Club while also participating in 3×3 basketball.
Today, while balancing a professional career in real estate, Rohit continues to compete as a shooting guard for Skyblaze Academy.
