On the evening of February 15, 2025, in a grand and prestigious ceremony organized by Wings Publication at Hotel Addison Blue in Pune, the winners of the Golden Book Award 2025 were honored with pens, trophies, certificates, souvenirs, and plaques.
During this event, the distinguished guest, cine star Shri Ashish Vidyarthi, presented the award to the renowned Odia writer Dr. Satya Prakash Sethy. This recognition is a moment of great pride for Odia writers and is sure to inspire and motivate many others.
Notably, several esteemed authors were considered for this award, including Ruskin Bond, Shashi Tharoor, Alia Bhatt, Pragyata Kohli, Ashutosh Rana, T. N. Venugopal, Gulzar, J. J. Irani, Radhakrishnan Pillai, Samantha Harvey, and Rajiv Bhatia. Hence, it is a matter of immense joy and honor that, for the first time, an Odia writer has received this award for his Odia poetry book Samayara Arapari, published by IWrite Media.

Dr. Satya Prakash Sethy is a prominent figure in Odia literature. He was born on January 31, 1968, in Ranipada village, Bhadrak district. Currently serving as an Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, he has made significant contributions to literature.
His literary works include Fusia Maa, Ganru Pherichi Gan Hajichi, Neela Gaganara Pathika, Akat, Bapa, Jharaka Separira Jhiata, Anushka, Bani Biharare Premara Nabodiganta, Chandkare Gote Rati, Parityakta Kothi, Amruta Nilaya, Jibanara Di Pakha, Atma Jeunthi Katha Kahe, Manapara, Samayara Arapari, Dhwani o Pratidhwani, and many more collections of stories, novels, and poetry. His works have been widely appreciated, and he has been honored with various awards.
With nearly 25 published books, his writings have created a significant impact among readers. Previously, he was also awarded the Asian Talent Award for his short story collection Fusia Maa.
