Education remains one of the strongest foundations for long-term social progress, yet many schools across India continue to face infrastructure gaps that affect the learning experience of students. Addressing this challenge with a focused and scalable approach, Drychem India Pvt. Ltd., through its CSR arm Walplast Welfare Foundation, has strengthened infrastructure across more than 100 schools during FY 2025–2026.
The initiative covers multiple geographies including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. By working across diverse regions, the company has ensured that support reaches government schools, tribal schools and community institutions where infrastructure improvements can create meaningful impact.
The programme includes a wide range of interventions such as computers, printers, classroom benches, desks, chairs, writing boards, school bags, sanitation facilities, water coolers, air coolers, office furniture, lighting systems and essential learning materials including notebooks and stationery. Each of these elements contributes directly to improving the day-to-day functioning of schools and the overall learning atmosphere.
In many rural schools, students often study in spaces lacking basic comfort and resources. By improving classroom infrastructure, Drychem is helping create more organised, safer and engaging learning environments. Access to digital tools such as computers also introduces students to technology at an early stage, preparing them for future opportunities.
Speaking on the initiative, Kaushal Mehta, Managing Director of Drychem India Pvt Ltd said, “Education has always been central to our philosophy at Drychem, because we believe true nation-building begins in the classroom. Strengthening infrastructure across 100+ schools reflects our long-term commitment to creating equitable learning environments.”
The success of the programme lies in its grassroots execution. The company works in collaboration with school authorities, local administrations and community stakeholders to identify real needs and implement solutions that remain useful over the long term.
Drychem’s commitment to education is part of a larger CSR philosophy rooted in inclusive growth. Its earlier association with Project Nanhi Kali also supported girls’ education and equal opportunities.
Drychem’s education-led CSR model demonstrates how targeted infrastructure support can create lasting community transformation. By investing in better schools today, the company is helping nurture tomorrow’s leaders.
